We are extremely proud of our youth group held weekly on Tuesday evenings from 5 pm until 6:30 pm. The session provides a safe and welcoming space for children and youth (ages 9 to 16) to relax, meet with friends, try new activities and experience opportunities that are not always readily available or accessible. A hot meal is served every session and we invite people from around the City come together with the group to deliver enriching sessions encouraging confidence, being healthy and creative, positive change in their communities and to inspire greatness.
Our team of committed volunteers are experienced childcare qualified teachers and educators. We pride ourselves on our level of care and support. We have impacted over 100 children in the local and surrounding areas over the last few years as part of our children and youth programmes and continue to do so with great passion and dedication. This generation of young people face unprecedented challenges including; pandemic-related issues, a rise in mental health issues and underfunded youth spaces.
Alongside this, our area in Peterborough is experiencing multiple areas of deprivation including; high child poverty rates, lack of child-centred activities, lack of safe spaces with access to green space, and overall poor levels of education, health and general living environment. You can choose to support Gladstone Connect by donating to Elev8 GC Stars Youth Program. You will help to provide young people in Millfield and the surrounding area with vital support that is needed in order for the young people to feel part of something special, to grow in confidence, to access opportunities that are not always available and to promote a safe and enriching environment among friends and adult role models.
Your donation will help to sustain our life-changing programmes, allowing us to continue supporting and nurturing our local youth.
